The race aims to be more than just a virtual event. You will find community and connection with people from all over the world.
We will be fostering positivity and rewarding amazing members of our community with prizes along the way.
We are not just giving you a unique Virtual Event. We will also be showcasing some of New Zealand's greatest attractions and experiences.
We will be giving four people the best present ever and giving away the Ultimate NZ Travel Experience
A virtual race is a race that can be run, walked or cycled from any location you choose. You can ride, run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track (or even at another race).
You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. You log your miles into our system and get to virtually see your progress along the route.
The length of New Zealand if you travel by foot or bike is a stunningly beautiful 2,099 km (1,304 miles) from Cape Reinga in the north to Bluff in the south.
You can take on this incredible challenge yourself or team up and combine forces with your friends (or we can find friends for you) and your combined mileage will count towards the final tally.
You can start anytime you want from 30 April 2021 onwards and complete the distance at your own pace. (You can take up to 12 months, if you want).
The main prizes are drawn 31 December and you don't have to have completed the distance to be eligible for these or great spot prizes awarded throughout the race.
Note: You do not have to travel the entire distance in one outing! As you accumulate the mileage you enter it into our system and it calculates your total distance travelled and remaining distance to completion. All mileage has to be logged by 29 April 2022.
Your medal will be shipped directly to you. There is no prize for fastest times!
All prizes will be randomly drawn as we have no "course marshals" or global time-keeping system to keep things 100% transparent and fair. Anyone cheating is therefore only cheating themselves and we will be looking for participants that are actively engaging in our Facebook community to award additional spot prizes and rewards for being great race ambassadors.
Each participant will be able to join the Facebook Group where an entire community of incredible human beings will be to share stories, support each other and where we will give you updates and announce prize winners along the journey.

It's Not Too Late To Enter!
Race starts 30 April 2021 but entries don’t close then.
You can start any time up to 30 Dec 2021, after which entries close.
That’s because the main prize draw is on 31 Dec and ALL entrants are eligible, irrespective of whether or not they’ve completed the full distance by that date.
You have up until 29 April 2022 to complete the race.

The Tourism Industry in New Zealand has been dramatically affected by border closures and yet they are coming together to support this event and help promote our beautiful country around the world.
The randomly drawn prize winners will receive vouchers to experience some of New Zealand's most iconic attractions from the top of the North Island Right down to the bottom of the South Island. Current valuation of the travel packages are in excess of $15,000 and this is growing day by day.
Every day we are adding to the prize pool as sponsors and race supporters come on and if we hit 10,000 entrants we will also pay for return flights for any winners, from anywhere in the world!
